Re: Welp.
Well now I really HAVE to get a job.
Already made plans what I'm gonna get, still no job.
And I know you're interested and I want to tell you because I'm a douche like that.
MacBook Pro with Intel i7 and a 13inch screen. (Don't need no retina scam.)
A bit more than but about 1300-1500€ is what I read from apple's website.
And along side I'm gonna buy Ableton Live 9 Standard (279€) and a new external sound card. (Was thinking about a Motu for about 300€)
So if I get a job and get a normal finnish persons wage or a bit less, I'll be able to get all this in one month.

Re: Welp.
Not bad
I do have to be honest that I personally wouldn't go for a regular macbook pro anymore because that retina display is 'the now and the future' for Apple.. It's not that I want to make you spend more, you're choice ofcourse, but if you have something breaking on your Macbook and you're out of garantee, it can be a pain in the ass trying to get it fixed...
That's why I personally went for a MBPR with Apple Care (longer garantee) as I read that the screen of the MBPR sometimes gives a problem called 'ghosting'. So far no problem, but who knows in the future.. Those screens itself cost around 1000, which is why I'd rather pay a little more for Apple Care..

Well yeah but I kinda dont need it and dont have the money to spend on it ._.
I know the normal screen is 60-70 hertz depending on the resolution, if the retina can do more tehn I might think about it.

Oh fuck off Apple hater
There's no actual reason to cry about Apple or Android or Google or whatever.
Everybody has his own preference, deal with it.

Re: Welp.
What was the actual error that your PC gave you when you booted up?
Maybe we can help

Re: Welp.
It says my HDD is just broken and that I should do backups ._. Nothing else really.
It also said that all my shit on it could be lost if I don't fix it.
"Windows detected a hard disk problem. Back up your files immediately to prevent information loss, and then contact computer manufacturer to determine if you need to repair or replace the disk."
I found that on the internets. Mine is in finnish.

Re: Welp.
What brand is your hard drive? I'm not saying this should matter that much, but I know that error and have actually seen it happen more on people with a hard drive from Seagate, so perhaps if yours is a seagate, maybe it's a better idea to get a new one from Western Digital and use that one.
First of all; BACK UP ALL YOUR STUFF (that you still want to have)
Here's a few things you can try.. I'm not saying this will definitely fix it, but it might help you out.
If you happen to have a different drive with a windows 'preinstalled' (like another pc's drive) then attach that one, start up via that one and right click your broken drive once booted up and let it 'check for errors'.
My Computer -> Right click the 'broken' drive -> properties -> Tools -> Check For Errors
Maybe that might show you some things. You could also put your disc of windows in and try to fix it. See if that helps.
Otherwise.. You could disable the message.. But it isn't that much of a fix ofcourse. But yeah..
When you booted up, open up the run window (start -> run OR press windows button + R on your keyboard). Type 'gpedit.msc' (without the quotes) and press enter.
If you don't have gpedit.msc, click here to download it
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Troubleshooting and Diagnostics\Disk Diagnostic\
Then double click onto 'Disk diagnostic: Configure Execution Level' and disable it.
Reboot afterwards.
Once again, not sure if it's a way to fix it, but at least the message is gone... :PIf

My Computer -> Right click the 'broken' drive -> properties -> Tools -> Check For Errors>Check now>(check both options)
That's all you need to do really. Actually, do that for ALL Drives (hard disk ones).
It will most probably ask you to schedule it for next restart. Restart your PC to run the check in that case (obviously)

Re: Welp.
I just disabled the messages ._.
I don't kinda have anything to backup my files on.
My project folder is 24 gigs and all I have is a 8 gig memory stick. It's the only thing I wouldn't want to lose.
But even that I don't really care.
I don't really have anything important on my HDD that I consider worth making a backup of.

+1rush001 wrote:like i said, just run the checkdisk. That will tell you if your HDD is really beyond help. Why buy new stuff when you can fix your old one for no cost
Though it's not 100% sure that it's gonna be succesful.
